Day 3 - Our First Day at Sea: Finding Our Rhythm
There’s something magical about waking to the gentle movement of the ocean. This morning, I slipped out onto the deck just as the sun began to rise — soft hues of pink and gold spilling across the sky. The ship was quiet except for the sound of the waves, and it felt like the perfect setting for a mindful start to the day.
I walked the deck, breathing in the salty air and feeling gratitude wash over me with each step. After my morning walk, I found a quiet spot for meditation and my daily EFT tapping session — a grounding way to tune into the energy of the sea and the peace of the moment.
Afterwards, I treated myself to a blissful morning in the spa — a pampering start that left me feeling completely relaxed and radiant. Meanwhile, Joe enjoyed a lazy, leisurely morning in our suite catching up on his broken nights sleep.
We met later for a lovely lunch in the Compass Rose restaurant, enjoying fresh, beautifully prepared dishes and the gentle hum of conversation around us. Joe was particularly pleased to get his iPad finally working — just in time to catch a bit of football, which made him very happy.....apart from the scores of some of the games!
In the early evening, we took a little detour to the medical centre, as Joe realised he didn’t have all of his medications with him. The doctors were kind and efficient, helping us sort some of it out. Beforehand, we popped into the onboard shop to have a look around as Joe had discovered that a few of his swimming tops hadn’t made it into the suitcase — but alas there wasn't anything that caught his eye. We will have to have a look when we next go ashore.
We visited the fitness centre so Joe could book in his first personal training session. The facilities are bright, and well-equipped, getting the expert help will help us both utilise the equipment better.
We ended the day with a delightful dinner in the Italian restaurant, where the food was as comforting as the company. Afterward, I enjoyed the evening’s show, a perfect blend of music, energy, and elegance to round off our first full day at sea.
We have been told we will be passing by Gibraltar at 2am, so if you are awake, you can wave us a quick hello.
As we returned to our suite, the gentle sway of the ship and the sound of the waves felt like a lullaby. It’s beginning to feel like home — calm, joyful, and full of possibility.
Daily Reflection:
Today I allowed myself to soften into the rhythm of life at sea.
I am learning that balance is found in movement and stillness, in laughter and in quiet grace.
Highlight of the Day:
✨ A serene sunrise walk on deck — the perfect reminder of how beautiful each new beginning can be.

Thank you my love indeed we do have a great adventure ahead. Love and miss you all xxxx
